Jamill is quite a loveable youngster. His big eyes and broad smile seem to light up whenever there is any kind of movement or sound. He loves playing with matchbox cars and watching cartoons. Jamill is diagnosed with severe autism and has significant delays in language and motor skill development. Currently, Jamill resides in a residential program where his teachers consider him a pleasure to instruct.
As a result of his residential program, Jamill is learning to communicate more and has increased his vocabulary. Jamill is also learning to repeat words that are spoken to him. Jamill is also learning how to interact with other children and reportedly gets along very well with the fellow children within his program. His attention span continues to expand, and Jamill is becoming more and more self-reliant. Though easily frustrated and at times impulsive, with the help of therapy Jamill is learning to focus and his behavioral outbursts are becoming less frequent.
Jamill is truly an exceptional child with many special needs; therefore, he requires one-on-one attention. He needs a loving forever family, one that is committed to supporting him through adulthood. He would do best in a home where he is the only child or the youngest.
