I-CARE 365
I-CARE 365 is a 2010 diligent recruitment project administered by the Michigan State Department of Human Services in Oakland County of Lansing, Michigan. The target population of the project includes:
- Adolescents
- Juvenile sex offenders
- Youth in residential treatment settings
- Youth in psychiatric inpatient settings
- Children with disabilities or other physical care needs
- African American children
- Large sibling groups
The purpose of the project is to promote safety, permanency, and well-being for Michigan’s children and increase positive permanency outcomes for children by:
- Increasing awareness of the need for resource families
- Improving timely achievement of permanency goals for children
- Increasing appropriate placement resources for the targeted population
- Improving customer service and increasing retention rates among newly recruited resource families
