Jared is a kind young man who is well liked by everyone around him. He has a positive attitude and is always smiling. Jared’s favorite way to spend an afternoon is fishing with his foster family. He also enjoys playing with animals and spending time outdoors. Jared uses a wheelchair and has difficulty speaking, but he always tries to work around these limitations and strives to do his best with any task he is given.
What Others Say about Jared...
His worker says Jared is sweet and considerate. He waits his turn to interact with others and is happy to help with his care.
What You Can Do for Jared...
You can be loving and patient. You can set aside ample time for Jared’s daily care and provide him with access to appropriate medical and educational resources. The ideal family would consist of two parents, at least one of whom is able to lift 85 pounds independently. Jared will need to live in a wheelchair-accessible home.
A central Illinois family is strongly preferred, so Jared can remain in contact with his current caregivers, and members of his birth family, after he is adopted.
