Guam Foster Care and Adoption Guidelines
Foster care is temporary care provided by individuals who open their homes and become temporary parents to children whose birth families are unable to care for them currently. We still need more foster parents.
Children become available for adoption when a Permanency Plan for Adoption is pursued on behalf of the child in Child Protective Services proceedings or when a child is voluntarily relinquished to the agency for purposes of adoption.
Please contact the Bureau of Social Services Administration of the Department of Public Health and Social Services for more information on how to become a foster or adoptive parent.
