When Rick Meadows asked his wife Beth to marry him 23 years ago, she blurted out “I want 12 kids!” He replied, “Well, maybe six.” Today they’re working on adopting numbers nine, 10 and 11.
For 26 years, Audrey and Jeff Brown were always under the assumption their purpose in life was to just serve as foster parents. That was until they met Alexander, a 17-year-old boy who changed their life and family forever.
Ten years ago when Dana and Alan Steele decided to pursue adoption, they never dreamed their family of five would grow to a family of 14. Today with a house full of kids, they couldn’t imagine life any other way.
The Wallaces began foster parenting in 1979. They have opened their home to over 100 children and have adopted nine children.
The Correa-Romero / Alvarez-Blasco family went through two very different adoption experiences. And now, utilizing the knowledge they gained through the process, they have become strong advocates for the children in the Puerto Rico foster care system.
