May 2011 Caseworker of the Month
Jennifer Cochran, a specialist for the Kentucky Department of Community Based Services Special Needs Adoption Program is our May Caseworker of the Month. Despite an increased workload because of budget cuts reducing the number of employees in her department, Cochran has remained fully committed to challenging caseworkers and parents to take a second look at families and children they might otherwise dismiss.

April 2011 Caseworker of the Month
Melanie Prepetit, a clinical supervisor for the nonprofit agency Beech Brook in Cleveland, Ohio, is our April Caseworker of the Month. In addition to helping two brothers learn to deal with the twists and turns of life over the course of a 10-year relationship as their therapist, she assisted the boys' adoptive parents in strengthening their family by turning crisis moments into an opportunity for reinforcing the bonds of love and trust.

March 2011 Caseworker of the Month
Vanessa Palma, an adoption social worker for The Children's Village in New York City is our March Caseworker of the Month. When she was still new on the job, Palma helped a couple adopt a newborn whose drug-addicted mother had lost custody of the little girl before she was born.

February 2011 Caseworker of the Month
Amy Alderman, a licensed social worker for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, is our February Caseworker of the Month. She helped facilitate the adoption of an older child with special needs to whom an out-of-state family could give a loving, understanding home.

January 2011 Caseworker of the Month
Carrie Ontiveros, an adoption worker for Aspiranet in Bakersfield, California, is our January Caseworker of the Month. Her warmth and attentiveness helped a couple entering the adoption process not only feel at ease with the personal nature of home studies, but turned it into a positive growing experience.
