September 2009 Caseworker of the Month

Marie Rudison

Covington Regional Office of Community Services

I would like to nominate my adoption caseworker Marie Rudison for caseworker of the month. This will be our second adoption in which Marie was our adoption caseworker. The first time we became parents was when we adopted a sibling group of 3 and Marie was our adoption worker. Although Marie finalizes many, many adoptions every year, she realizes that it is a VERY special time for you and seems to be as excited as the adoptive parents are about the process. When Jacob came to live with us and we found out we would be able to adopt him we knew that we didn't want to experience this with any other caseworker so we requested Marie and were lucky enough to get her for our second adoption.

Marie is very kind and caring and really and truly cares for each of the children she represents. She always makes sure we know what is going on with our case and is always quick to call us with any changes or updates. We feel TRULY fortunate to have Marie and really think of her more as family than just our adoption caseworker.

When you doing something as monumental as adopting a child you want to know that you are working with someone who truly cares about making your experience a special one and Marie is that person.

“I'm currently employed with the Covington Region Office of Community Services as a Child Welfare Specialist in the Adoption Unit. I have been with the agency for 29 years. It was truly a pleasure working with the Bauers family. Mr. and Mrs. Bauers are caring people who love children. They readily opened their home to a sibling group of three and then later adopted another child through our agency. They were easy to work with and had a lot of insight into the needs of the children. They were very supportive of the agency and the children as they are truly ‘team players’.” - Marie Rudison
