Kansas RRT

Dear AdoptUsKids Family,

Thank you for having an interest in our waiting children. My name is Alexandria White, and I work with The Adoption Exchange, which is collaborating with AdoptUsKids and the Department of Social Services to assist you.

In addition to Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL), I am part of your Recruitment Response Team. I will be following up with you throughout your homestudy process. I will be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have on foster/adoption related issues.

The adoption and foster care process may take some time, but the rewards are well worth the effort. You will find there are many resources available to you, and I recommend that you become involved in as many ways with the foster/adopt community as you feel comfortable.

I want to be sure that you are receiving the necessary information and assistance to have a successful foster care and/or adoption experience. If you are having any problems during this process, please feel free to contact me in whatever manner is convenient for you.

Sincerely,

Alex White

Licensing Requirements for Foster or Adoption

We are looking for the best family to meet the needs of the children we serve. Single, married, divorced, it does not matter. You don’t have to be “perfect” to be a perfect parent! There is a licensing process, and we are happy to tell you more about it, but the most important question is: “Who is the best family to meet the needs of the child?” Please call us at 1-877-530-5275 or visit www.kcsl.org.

Does it Cost to Foster or Adopt?

No.

Parent Support Groups

The Kansas Children’s Service League offers a statewide network of support groups for resource families, parents, grandparents and other caregivers raising children. These support groups are designed to connect families with the support and resources they need to succeed. With funding through the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services and the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging, KCSL has 38 support groups statewide.
