I was adopted when I was very little so what I remember from the adoption is what my adoptive mother tells me and the pictures I have. I wish I remembered my birth mom but I only can have dreams. In my adoption, my parents changed my first name to protect me. I don’t understand this but I think they are just trying to do what is right.

Adoption means to me that a person loves you and they want to help you. You are being brought into another family that hopefully will love you like a family is supposed to. Adoption means to take good care of you. I was adopted because my birth mom wasn’t taking care of me. She made wrong choices but I do know that she loved me and I love her. I’m saying that adoption can be a good thing and your life is safe and people love you all around and you have a family. Someday I would like to find my mom but that doesn’t mean I don’t love my mom and dad who I have now.
