Help Us Celebrate National Foster Care Month
National Foster Care Month raises awareness of the needs of children and youth served by the foster care system. Using the resources below, you can celebrate and honor the foster families who open their homes and hearts to these children while also reflecting on the resilience of the more than 2 million foster care alumni living in our country today.
- National Foster Care Month Resources: This site is hosted by Child Welfare Information Gateway on behalf the Children’s Bureau and shares resources with caseworkers, managers, and administrators for supporting children, youth, and their families.
- National Foster Care Month – Change a Lifetime Campaign: This site provides information on opportunities for prospective foster and adoptive parents, mentors, community volunteers, and system advocates to become involved with National Foster Care month. Agency leaders can also find useful suggestions to share with community partners for ways to support youth in foster care and National Foster Care Month.
